Guernsey Community Foundation meeting on Guernsey’s Supported Living and Ageing Well Strategy

The Guernsey Community Foundation is hosting a meeting, at 7.30 pm on Monday 13 May 2013 at Les Cotils in St Peter Port, of representatives from organisations that work with older people in both the voluntary and private sectors.

The meeting is to enable the States of Guernsey to update attendees on the progress that has been made with their Supported Living and Ageing Well Strategy, which is currently in development.

A Panel, chaired by Jurat Stephen Jones, will present and discuss the overall need for a Strategy and explain the progress of the current version to date.

There will be an opportunity for attendees to pose questions to the Panel.

The meeting will also discuss how the sector can best engage with the States of Guernsey on strategy in the future and explore a proposal to form a representative body to encourage this and regular discussion between organisations to identify and address key challenges, issues and opportunities etc.
