CLIC Sargent secondhand designer clothing sale at Les Cotils, St Peter Port on 20 April 2013

April 12th, 2013 by Saffery Champness

Children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent will hold a secondhand designer clothes sale at Les Cotils Christian Centre on Saturday 20 April 2013.

The event is supported by local firm Saffery Champness, who is appealing for donations of quality clothing, shoes, bags and accessories.

Saffery Champness staff will be helping the CLIC volunteers to gather and sort through all the contributions from their offices, as well as helping to run the sale on the day.

Claire’s Cakes n’ Bakes and Jaxbags, who both had popular stalls at the charity’s successful “50 Shades of Earl Grey” tea party, will also be selling their goods on the day, with a percentage of their proceeds once again going to CLIC Sargent.

The sale will run from 10 am and 3 pm in the Harry Bound Room at Les Cotils Christian Centre.

Other than some great men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and shoes there will also be designer bags and accessories at a fraction of their original cost.

Joe Smale, Trust officer at Saffery Champness, who is on the CLIC Sargent organising committee, said “last year’s event managed to raise over £2,000 which was amazing.”

“However we hope that we can top this sum this year. In order to do so, however, we really need support from all the ladies and gents out there, whether it’s through donations or coming along to the sale on the day. It’s a great opportunity to clear out your wardrobes and get rid of any of those clothes you’ve not worn for years,” he said.

Any contributions can be left at Saffery Champness’s office at La Tonnelle House, Les Banques, near The Halfway during the week between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm or at Earlswood Garden Centre.

Please contact Joe Smale via email: for additional information.
