WildGuernsey is holding a Beginners Scythe Course in St Pierre du Bois from 10 am to about 4 pm on 8 September 2012. The course is led by experienced mower and scythe teacher Philip Batten of the Dyfed Permaculture Farm Trust in south west Wales.

Francis Paul, Guernsey Bicycle Group Chairman, led bicyclists through parish lanes of Forest and St Pierre du Bois. He stopped at regular intervals to show parish landmarks and explain parish history. The bright blue sky and cool early evening air was perfect for a gentle bicycle ride along parish lanes.
