2013 Bathtub boat race raises funds for Channel Islands Airsearch, RNLI, and Guernsey Sailing Trust

Shortly after 11.30 am on 6 January 2013 by the old lifeboat slipway in St Peter Port harbour, Guernsey the countdown started, the horn blared, orange flares were lit, and the bathtub boat race participants were off the start-line to raise funds for Channel Islands Airsearch, RNLI St Peter Port, and Guernsey Sailing Trust.

European moray eel turns up in St Peter Port harbour

Paul Benstead from the St Peter Port Harbour Master’s office called at 1830 on Friday 17 June 2011 to tell me he had fished out a strange-looking fish from the water by the Condor ferry ramp in St Peter Port harbour.  He had placed it on a metal grill under the ramp.
