BMW plans series production of Megacity electric cars

On 5 November 2010 BMW announced plans to invest €400 million over the next three years in electric car production.  The Megacity will be produced in Leipzig, Germany.  The electric car, which will be recognisable as a BMW, will be a four-seater that will be about the same size as BMW’s basic mini.
