Paul Frank of Chertsey House Dental Group who has run six marathons in total, is running his fourth Virgin London Marathon on Sunday 21 April 2013 to raise funds for Guernsey Cheshire Home.

He has trained all “through one of the coldest and windiest winters. Each marathon is a challenge but well worth all the effort of training, and running the event itself, to help my chosen charity of Guernsey Cheshire Home,” he writes.

Guernsey Cheshire Home provides individual care and support for adults living with severe physical disabilities. Paul provides dental care for some of the residents as well as getting to know some of the carers.

Each person has their own specially-adapted and equipped room.  Although residents may have very high dependency needs, the care they receive enables them to enjoy as much independence as possible.

Guernsey Cheshire Home also provides support in the form of respite services to people living in the community who have a physical disability, allowing their carers to have a break.

All of this, along with day visitor care facilities, makes it a very busy place.

They do not receive any direct funding from the States of Guernsey or from the Leonard Cheshire Foundation so they need all the help that they can get.

To donate to Guernsey Cheshire Home through sponsoring Paul Frank’s London Marathon run, either send a cheque made payable to ‘Guernsey Cheshire Home’ to Paul Frank at Chertsey House, Les Cornus, St Martin GY4 Guernsey 6PR Channel Islands, GB or make a donation on Paul’s London Marathon Just Giving webpage.
