Deputies Wilkie & Le Pelley support Deputy Gollop in his role as States’ Champion for Disabled People

March 13th, 2013 by Guernsey Disability Alliance

Disabled Guernsey residents now don’t just have a Disability Champion but an entire team of Disability Champions!

Deputy Arrun Wilkie and Deputy Paul Le Pelley have kindly offered to assist Deputy John Gollop in dealing with disability questions and issues raised by members of the public.

Having two further States of Guernsey Deputies as Disability Champions means greater choice, especially when Deputy Gollop is busy with other enquiries or is on holiday.

It will also make it easier if the concern is a Social Security issue because Deputy Gollop is on the board of the Social Security Department, which can make things complicated.

Deputy Arrun Wilkie is already known to many of you as he was nominated for the Disability Champion election in 2012.

He is a Deputy for the Western Parishes and sits on the board for the Home Department; he is also a Douzenier in Torteval.

For those who may not know him for his political achievements, he recently made his first TV appearance, featuring in Island Hospital.
