To raise money for various charities, Janet and Claire Harbottle sell donated and secondhand books from 9.00 am to 12.15 pm on Saturdays at the farmers’ market in the St Martin Parish Hall.

Janet and Claire raised just under £3500 for Jumbulance Holidays in 2012. This charity makes it possible for severely disabled and unwell adults, children and dependent elderly people to travel on holidays and day outings.

The funds Janet and Claire raise from book sales in 2013 will also go to Jumbulance Holidays.

Through their book sales, Janet and Claire have also raised funds for Guernsey Specials Gym Club, Wigwam, You Can Do It Foundation, and Maison de Quetteville.

If you have books you no longer need please consider donating them to Janet and Claire Harbottle so they can raise money for charity. The Lexicon Bookshop on The Pollet in St Peter Port has been generous in donating books for Janet and Claire’s charitable fund raising efforts.

Please email [email protected] cwgsy.net or telephone 247151 or 07781 432035 during office hours to arrange for Janet and Claire to collect or receive the books you no longer need.
