Skills Guernsey workshop on employability on 15 October 2012

October 1st, 2012 by Skills Guernsey

Skills Guernsey has organised a workshop on ‘Employability’ – equipping our young people with skills and attitudes required in the workplace’ from midday to 1.30 pm on Monday 15 October 2012.

The workshop takes place at the Coutanchez site of the Guernsey College of Further Education.

Employers are invited to engage in dialogue with Skills Guernsey about creating the tools for developing ’employability’ skills in organisations and in schools.

Skills Guernsey has established a set of core, critical skills and attitudes with the input of key stakeholders from the business community.

These have been developed into practical competency tools for both employers and individuals.

Skills Guernsey is seeking ideas from employers to put them into practice.

The session will be facilitated by Karen Power, a Skills Guernsey business member, and Jani Burwood, a competency for young people expert.

Please register your interest for attending this workshop by emailing skillsguernsey @ gov.gg or telephoning 733044.
