OSA Recruitment offering Guernsey charities use of St Peter Port shop for one week in December 2012

OSA Recruitment has decided to open up their recently acquired and currently unused shop at 22 Smith Street, St Peter Port for use as a pop-up charity shop for the four weeks leading up to Christmas.

Belinda Windsor, Recruitment Manager, said “we are offering four Guernsey charities or community groups the chance to occupy The OSA Charity Pop Up Shop for one week each.”

“We want Guernsey Charities to fill-in an application form and tell us what they’d use the space for. We’d like the shop to be lively and inviting so we’re looking for creative ideas, as well as those charities/groups that may have things to sell.”

The deadline for applications from those wishing to be considered for this opportunity is 5 November 2012.

Once applications are received they will be shortlisted by a panel of judges.

OSA Recruitment would then like Islanders to help choose the four winning charities.

Further information on how the choices can be made will be released when the shortlist is announced on 7 November 2012.

OSA Recruitment has always been heavily involved with the community, offering service provision, financial help and sponsorship to charitable organisations where possible.

After winning the 2011 Community Award for Corporate Social Responsibility, OSA Recruitment have continued to explore ways in which to contribute their time and resources to the Guernsey community.

Terms & Conditions

• The premises are to be occupied by the ‘tenant’ detailed on the application form.
• This scheme is only open to registered charities which have representation in Guernsey.
• The shop must be manned for the full six days allocated to your charity/community group and the shop should remain open, at a minimum, during the hours of 10 am to 4 pm.
• The ‘tenant’ will have responsibility for the premises during the hours of their occupancy. A key will be given to the nominated ‘tenant’ who will ensure that the shop is locked and secured when vacant.
• The tenant will be solely responsible for the premises for the duration of their occupancy. Any ‘stock’ or items left on the premises will be done so at the ‘tenants’ own risk.
• No cash or valuables should be left on the premises when it is unmanned.
• Any additional promotion done by the successful ‘tenant’ must refer to the location of their activities as The OSA Charity Pop up Shop.

NB Notifications will be sent to all applicants after the closing date to advise if they have been short-listed or have been unsuccessful this time.
