The closing date for the Lloyds TSB Child Carer of the Year 2012 is 1 November 2012.
The Award recognises the commitment of a Guernsey resident to children.
Organisers are encouraging those considering nominating a friend or a relative to complete and return the entry form by 1 November.
“We have already had some excellent entries in but we know that there are so many more islanders who give their time and energy to helping young people. We want to hear about all of them,” said Craig Duquemin, Lloyds TSB business development manager.
“This is the third year that Lloyds TSB has run the award. This year we have doubled the prize money, and so not only will the winner receive a cash prize of £500 but they will also be given a cheque for £500 to present to their chosen charity.”
The Lloyds TSB Child Carer of the Year 2012 is run in conjunction with Guernsey Mums.
“It’s always a tough decision as there are some amazing people who go beyond the call of duty to help young people in Guernsey. We want to recognise their efforts and thank them for all they have done,” said Mr Duquemin.

Completed entry forms must be returned by 1st November 2012.
