The Guernsey Voluntary Service seeks volunteers to help provide services to their elderly clients.
Jubilee Day Centre
The Guernsey Voluntary Service is looking for bus escorts for that day to accompany the minibus drivers and help clients in and out of the bus.
The Jubilee Day Centre video player has broken. Consequently, the Jubilee Day Centre would appreciate a donation of an old video recorder / player so that the elderly people who visit the Centre can watch films.
The Jubilee Day Centre needs afternoon tea helpers from 1.30 pm until 3.30pm on Friday afternoons due to a couple of volunteers retiring after many years of helping.
The Jubilee Day Centre is looking for people who can entertain elderly visitors by playing a musical instrument or with story telling or entertaining conversation.

The Russels Day Centre needs an escort for their minibus runs on the morning and afternoon of Thursday 8 and 15 November 2012. This involves just a couple of hours per week.
The Russels Day Centre is looking for donations for the tombola at the Charity Fair such as bottles of wine, beer, and soft drinks; and boxes of biscuits and chocolates.
The Russels Day Centre needs a car driver for a lady who lives in the Forest for Wednesday mornings beginning 31 October until 12 December 2012, and also a car driver to bring three ladies to the Russels Day Centre from the Castel School area on 16 and 23 November 2012.

Maureen McDonald is our Trolley Shop Leader for the Maison Maritaine and is currently looking for a standby helper on a Tuesday morning from 10 am to 11 am.
This would not necessarily be every week. Please call her on 726233 if you can help as this service is very worthwhile to the residents and they love to see GVS volunteers.
