The Guernsey Bereavement Service has received a free IT upgrade thanks to IT service providers 2e2.

The Service has been provided with a fully configured brand new laptop for use with training courses, a new PC to replace an old one for the office, a backup solution for their data and a new wireless router to improve their internet performance.

Maura Stacey from the Guernsey Bereavement Service said “loss and grief is something that everyone will experience and we see on average 150 people a year.”

“Since teaming up with 2e2, our team of volunteers can concentrate on the service without having to worry about their IT needs. We are very grateful to 2e2 for their efficiency and their willingness to help us so that we can improve our service,” she said.

James Pinnock, 2e2’s Service Delivery Manager, said “we’ve been supporting the Guernsey Bereavement Service since 2009 during which time we have looked after all their IT needs.”

“As Maura said, bereavement will affect us all at some time. By taking care of all the service’s IT needs, Maura and her team of volunteers are free to concentrate on offering the very best care and support to those who need it,” he said.
