Guernsey Water’s wastewater section has rescheduled repairs to a rising main which will necessitate the closure of Oatlands Lane, St Sampsons.
The works were originally scheduled to start on 15 August, but due to a delay in the arrival of parts from a third party supplier, they have now been put back to 28 August 2012.
The project will run until 3 September 2012.
The public are asked to ignore the advanced traffic management warning signs that have been put out in the road over the last few days, as further warning signs will be put out in due course to warn of the rescheduled closure.
Andrew Redhead, director of water services, said “these are essential works to replace valve sets on the rising main to ensure the maximum performance of our wastewater network. We apologise to the public for the change in dates for this project, but unfortunately the parts delay was out of our hands.”
