On Saturday 25 August 2012 at 10 am the Guernsey Conservation Volunteers (GCV) will be clearing growth to ground level at the Marais Rise Reed Bed to create new habitat for birds. Volunteers are welcome to attend.

Please bring study boots as we will be working on uneven ground.

For parking please go to Perry’s page 17 G1. The working party will be at Perry’s page 17 G1

If you don’t have a Perry’s Guide please park in the fenced area on the left at the end of Marais Rise.

To find the working party please go to the Red Lion roundabout. From St Peter Port, drive north towards The Bridge, take the first turning on the left after the Red Lion – this is Marais Rise. Marais Rise is a dead end – drive to the end where you will see a fenced area on the left. The reed bed is on the right at the end of Marais Rise.

Angela Salmon will lead the volunteer group and give directions as to what needs to be done. Shane will be the First Aider.

The next Guernsey Conservation Volunteers work party will meet on Saturday 8 September 2012. The location is to be confirmed.
