Guernsey Community Foundation offers more funds to improve social inclusion in Bailiwick

May 24th, 2012 by Guernsey Community Foundation

The second round of the Guernsey Community Foundation’s Quarterly Grants Programme is rapidly approaching.

The opening date for applications is Friday 1 June 2012.

The last quarter saw 35 applications being made to the Foundation’s scheme with six grants being made.

Once again, funding is available for up to £10,000, with either one or more grants being awarded, totalling up to £10,000. The minimum application amount is £1,000 and there will be no restriction on the type of funding that can be applied for e.g. capital or operating expenses.

Again, there is a priority theme for grant applications: “projects, activities or services that aim to increase social inclusion in the Bailiwick of Guernsey”, where social inclusion is focused on overcoming barriers and inequalities that prevent people participating on equal terms in society.

Applications will be welcome from charities, voluntary organisations, groups or in some cases from individuals working within any field that contributes towards the stated theme. If any application is not funded under the quarterly programme, the Foundation may be able to match up that application to another donor or support the activity or service in other ways.

Further information on the Quarterly Grants Programme can be found on the Guernsey Community Foundation website or by contacting Andrew at the Foundation on 748056 or email Andrew @ foundation.gg.

Application forms, criteria and guidelines will all be available on the Foundation’s website from 1 June 2012.

The closing date for applications is Friday 29 June 2012.
