The AVA Project is a London-based charity that provides a range of services to voluntary and statutory organisations focusing around the area of domestic abuse and other forms of violence against women and girls.

The Seminar will be open to both agency staff and the general public.

Jennifer will also be holding the AVA Project’s training course – the Links between Mental Health and Domestic Abuse for the rest of the day.

This is open to local staff from the voluntary and statutory agencies who work with victims of domestic abuse. Delegates do not need to be specialists in the mental health or domestic abuse sectors to attend the course – it is designed for those who wish to gain an insight into both domestic abuse and mental health and whose clients may present with both issues.

It will start at around 10.15 and run until 4.30. Places on the course are limited, so early booking is advisable.

To find out further information about the breakfast seminar or the training course or to book to attend these events please contact Fiona.richmond @ gov.gg or telephone 717295.
