The first ever Tree and Woodcraft Fair hosted by The Guernsey Society of the Men of the Trees will be on Saturday 1 October 2011 from 12 pm at Fairfield, Castel.
At this family afternoon you’ll be able to watch climbing demonstrations, woodturning, chainsaw sculpting, machinery and equipment displays as well as sampling some tasty treats and enjoying the entertainment.
The highlight of the afternoon will be the ‘camp’ set up by visiting survival and bush craft expert David Hunt.
A graduate of Ray Mear‘s Woodlore School, David will be running demonstrations on shelter building, axe use, animal tracking, soap making and much more.
Entry is free but donations to The Guernsey Society of the Men of the Trees accepted.
