Promoting the goal of a Zero Carbon Britain by 2030

May 24th, 2011 by Campaign against Climate Change

Campaign against Climate Change has designated 16 July 2011 as a day to promote the goal of a Zero Carbon Britain by 2030.  This event will raise awareness of the need to reduced carbon emissions.

The Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) in Wales has worked on a strategy to reduce carbon emissions as quickly as possible.  Based on this work it published Zero Carbon Britain 2030.  An eight page summary of the report is available.

Campaign against Climate Change writes on their website “this is just one possible way on how Britain might reduce its emissions to zero by 2030 … the report demonstrates that it is possible.”

The Centre for Alternative Technology website has some suggestions on how you might support and participate in this nationwide event.
