Zero emission motorcycle racing presentation on 23 November 2011

The Channel Islands Group of Professional Engineers (CIGPE) have invited Simon Maddison to give a free presentation on TTXGP, which is the world’s first clean emission Grand Prix, at the Duke of Richmond Hotel, St Peter Port, Guernsey.

Simon Maddison’s presentation begins at 8 pm on 23 November 2011.  There is no need to book to attend the presentation. Mr. Maddison is Chairman of The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Technical Advisory Panel to TTXGP.

He will explain how TTXGP aims to drive low carbon technological innovation forward by developing a global programme of low-carbon motorsport events.

These events provide a high profile platform for the development of electric motorcycles, enabling the futuristic technology behind them to be tested in an exciting and challenging way.  These Grand Prix races demonstrate that clean-emission transport technologies can be fast and fun.

‘Zero emission’ rules on the bikes is promoting the acceptance and commercial reality of zero emission vehicles for everyday use.

Race footage from the first ever all-electric motorcycle race at the Isle of Man TT.

Mr. Maddison’s presentation will include footage of the motorbikes in action and photographs of the entries.  He will discuss the technologies deployed and how these technologies might develop.
