Living Streets with the help of The Guernsey Society of the Men of the Trees to plant hedging and trees along the Baubigny Schools path on 3 February 2011

On Thursday 3 February 2011 members of Living Streets including Deputy John Gollop, Deputy Tom Le Pelley and Vic Froome, and St. Sampson High School students, Guernsey Tree Wardens, and a team from the Community & Environmental Projects Scheme (CEPS) will plant hawthorn and some trees along 200 metres of earth banks on either side of the Baubigny Schools pathway.

The Guernsey Society of the Men of the Trees has kindly donated the plants for the project.

The banks on either side of the Living Street's walking path to St. Sampson High School and Le Murier school will be planted with hawthorn and some trees (click image to expand - ©Pat Wisher)

Tree Warden Co-ordinator and The Guernsey Society of the Men of the Trees Secretary Andrew McCutcheon will arrive at 10 am to lead the planting of 600 hawthorn and other trees.

Guernsey Tree Wardens are invited to help with the tree planting.  Please bring warm clothes and a spade or a trowel.

If arriving by car, park at the vinery site by driving to the end of Les Osmonds Lane (Perry’s ref P9 H4/5).
