Guernsey’s Electric Vehicles Company’s and Nicholson Mclaren Engines’ Citröen Nemo electric van wins ‘most economical light commercial electric van’ category in the first RAC Brighton to London Future Car Challenge

Mark Rive of Guernsey’s The Electric Vehicles Company was interviewed by Jim Cathcart of BBC Radio Guernsey about the award received for winning the ‘most economical light commercial electric van’ category in the first RAC Brighton to London Future Car Challenge.

The Nicholson Mclaren Engines Citröen Nemo Electric Van EV, developed jointly with the Guernsey-based Electric Vehicles Company, is one of the most advanced and practical electric light commercials available in the UK.

The NME Nemo Electric Van has a range of up to 80 miles, a top speed limited to 60 mph and a payload of 540kg. Based on the Citroën Nemo van, the NME Nemo Electric Van conversion is ideally suited for urban operation, with its roomy, up to 2.8 cubic metre load compartment, compact external size and easy manoeuvrability.
