Towards Zero Waste: Start saving your used toothpaste tubes, foil crisp packets, foil coffee pouches, and ring pull tabs for charity

October 6th, 2010 by Claire Diola

The Philippine Community Fund, a registered UK charity based in Southampton, accepts spent toothpaste tubes, foil crisp packets and foil coffee pouches, and ring pull tabs from fish tins and drink cans, which the charity ships to the Philippines where these materials are made into a variety of attractive products.

It is hoped that Guernsey can supply the charity with these materials to support the Philippine Community Fund in its work.

You can either send these materials by post yourself to the Philippine Community Fund or wait for collection boxes to appear around Guernsey.

Please begin saving your empty toothpaste tubes, and if you use a toothpaste plastic pump, consider switching back to a tube so that you can support the Philippine Community Fund in their recycling efforts.
