HTF Annual Conference – Climate Change: Mitigation & Adaptation in historic towns

Historic Towns Forum is holding their annual conference in Oxford, UK on 20 to 22 October 2010.  The main day of presentations is 21 October.

The subject of this year’s conference is “Climate Change: mitigation and adaptation in historic towns.

The conference will cover flood strategies for historic towns, renewable energy including wind turbines, low carbon building and the urban environment, sustainable transport (Oxford’s electric hybrid buses), and demonstrating the sustainability value of old buildings (the whole-life C02 footprint of refurbishment vs new build – a case study).
