Intertrust Guernsey is first Guernsey firm to earn the enhanced Keep Guernsey Green Award

Intertrust Guernsey has become the first company in Island to earn the enhanced Keep Guernsey Green Award from the States of Guernsey Environment Department.

An independent assessor evaluated Intertrust Guernsey and decided that the Company had demonstrated a commitment to reducing waste and energy consumption.

As well as judging the Company, an assessor also provided guidance and support through the process which took about five months to complete.

The Department said the award was an acknowledgement of the Company’s contribution in preserving Guernsey’s environment and using the best recycling and waste management techniques.

States of Guernsey Minister Peter Sirett, in handing over the award to Mick Cahill, said “The department was pleased to hear the measures, practices and policies implemented to meet the standards, and the willingness of the staff to assist where changes could be implemented to make savings.”
