A Talk on “Ocean Acidification – the other C02 problem”

Ocean acidification is the term used to describe the increasing pH in the world’s oceans due to increasing levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Dr. Debora Iglesias-Rodriguez is one of the leading researchers in this field.

Dr. Debora Iglesias-Rodriguez of the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton is visiting Guernsey on 15 October 2009 to give a presentation describing her research on this phenomenon and its impact on corals, plankton and fishes.

The presentation, which is sponsored by Schroders Private Banking, will begin at 7.30 pm in the Harry Bound Room at Les Cotils, St. Peter Port.
